Others simply want to spend time away from screens and reconnect with the satisfaction of making something with their own hands.
Whatever brings you here, woodworking offers a unique opportunity to slow down, learn practical skills, and create something tangible.

A Note From Merwyn
I don't consider myself a master craftsman.Like many makers, I continue to learn through every project, mistake, and challenge that comes my way.
My role as a workshop mentor is not to simply demonstrate techniques, but to help participants build confidence, understand the material, and discover the satisfaction of creating something with their own hands.
Woodworking is a lifelong journey, and these workshops are designed to help you begin yours.

Safety & Workshop Guidelines
Woodworking is a hands-on activity that can be physically demanding at times. If you have any physical limitations, injuries, allergies, or medical conditions that may affect your participation, please let me know in advance so that I can tailor the project and workshop experience accordingly.
Your safety is of utmost importance. Woodworking involves the use of sharp hand tools and, in some cases, power tools. All participants are expected to follow workshop safety instructions and maintain a focused approach while working.
Please wear comfortable clothing suitable for a workshop environment. Closed-toe shoes are mandatory. Avoid loose-fitting clothing, dangling accessories, and unsecured long hair. Participants with long hair should tie it back securely or wear a bandana.
For your comfort and protection, please bring:
* A reusable water bottle
* Eye protection (safety glasses)
* A dust mask if you are sensitive to sawdust
* Work gloves (optional) if you wish to protect your hands from calluses
The use of power tools will always be under the mentor's supervision and at the sole discretion of the instructor.
The primary objective of the workshop is to learn woodworking skills, understand tools and techniques, and enjoy the process of making. Completing the project is secondary to the learning experience, so there is no need to rush. Expect plenty of hands-on guidance, demonstrations, and knowledge sharing throughout the session.
