LEARN WOODWORKING

The courses were designed to provide participants with tried and true learning methods that ensure an enriching experience. Read on below for a list of some of the courses we offer.

BASIC WORKSHOP

DURATION

1 day ( 1000 to 1600 - 6 hours per day )

 

AGE GROUP

Min 12 years

 

ABOUT THIS MODULE

This module gives you a crisp real-world experience in woodworking. You learn to use the basic tools used for woodworking. the Chisel, the Saw, Right angle tool, measuring tape, hand plane, etc.

It is designed for individuals who wish to explore if woodworking is a craft meant for them.

This module does not involve a build.

​

PLANING WOOD : This is an activity, which demands time and in the interest of course duration will only be covered in theory and as an experience.

FINISHING TECHNIQUES: Finishing techniques would not be covered in this module, due to time constraints. The process would be explained in brief.

ADVANCED WORKSHOP

DURATION

4 days ( 1000 to 1600 - 6 hours per day )

 

AGE GROUP

Min 12 years
 

ABOUT THIS MODULE

This module would cover a more extensive approach to the craft.

It is designed for the more passionate participant, who have decided to start their journey in woodworking.

 

You would learn how to plan and execute a complete build, including basic finishing techniques.

​

You get to work on your own design and hence have to procure the lumber accordingly.


The build would be a pure joinery build. (Please discuss the build with me before the workshop so that I can guide you on the requirement of lumber. )


This module spans four days, hence if the build time for your project exceeds the duration, you can extend your time for an additional fee. ( Subject to availability )

Learn Woodworking: My Products

A NOTE

MEALS :Considering the current PANDEMIC situation, Please bringing along your own meal and bottled water.Although ordering from Swiggy, Zomato, etc still remains an option

LUMBER :The build would purely be based on your design , so that you can cherish your first creation. We would discuss the design and I can accordingly let you know the amount of Lumber required. Your Journey begins from here.

The age range of 12 to 17 Years, would require a chaperone

SAFETY

  1. Woodworking can be a strenuous experience due to his physical nature , hence do let me know if this would pose a challenge. I would plan the build accordingly.

  2. Woodworking involves sharp tools and requires a strong focus towards safety. I therefore prefer participants to adhere to  safety guidelines.

  3. Please dress appropriately.

  4. If you sport long hair, please tie your hair down in a bun or use a bandana.

  5. Avoid any loose clothing or if you have long hair, letting your hair loose, as we may use power tools running at high RPM

  6. Please wear close toe shoes for the workshop

  7. Do carry a face mask, to avoid sawdust from entering your mouth or respiratory system.

  8. Do carry eye protection, to avoid sawdust from entering your eyes.

  9. If you want to safe guard your hands from callouses, do carry a pair of gloves with you.

  10. Please do inform me if you have any allergy or known medical issues so that I can plan the build accordingly.

  11. Do carry enough drinking water with you to keep yourself hydrated.

  12. The objective of the workshop is to learn the skill involved and not to finish the project, hence please do not make it a race against time.THERE WOULD BE AN ABUNDANCE OF KNOWLEDGE SHARING.

  13. For your safety, the use of power tools would be under the trainer’s supervision or at the sole discretion of the trainer.
