Do I need prior experience? No. Most participants who attend the workshops have never used woodworking tools before. The sessions are designed for complete beginners, and you'll be guided through the process step by step. Are tools provided? Yes. All tools, equipment, and materials required for the workshop are provided. You're welcome to bring your own tools if you'd like advice on using them, but it is not necessary. Is parking available? Street parking is available in the neighbourhood. While parking is usually not difficult to find, I recommend arriving a little early to allow time to park and settle in before the session begins. What should I wear?. Wear comfortable clothing that you don't mind getting a little dusty. Closed-toe shoes are recommended for safety. Avoid loose sleeves, dangling jewellery, or anything that could get caught in machinery. Can children attend? The workshops are primarily designed for adults and older teenagers. Younger participants may be accommodated on a case-by-case basis if accompanied by a parent or guardian. Feel free to contact me before booking if you're considering bringing a child. What if I miss a session? Please let me know as early as possible if you're unable to attend. Depending on availability, I may be able to transfer your booking to a future session. Last-minute cancellations may not be eligible for rescheduling or refunds. What happens if the minimum number of participants isn't met? Group workshops require a minimum number of participants to run. If a session does not meet the required quorum, you'll be offered the option to transfer your booking to the next available date or receive a full refund of any advance payment made. What Will I Actually Make? For Discover Woodworking: Participants build a small wooden rack using traditional joinery techniques. The focus of the session is understanding the process of woodworking rather than completing a complex project. You'll leave with a finished piece and a clearer understanding of how furniture is made. For Foundation Workshop: Since time is limited and we focus on helping you understand the safety and function of the workshop tools. We may end up making something really simple like a phone stand .
